About Carboxy Therapy@headingTag>
Carboxy therapy is a nonsurgical skin rejuvenation procedure which utilizes carbon dioxide therapy to increase blood circulation. Since poor circulation is responsible for cellulite, stretch marks, circles beneath the eyes, and scars, this innovative technique can improve the appearance of these common skin issues. The injection of carbon dioxide beneath the surface of the skin stimulates collagen which in turn improves skin elasticity and destroys localized fatty deposits, revealing a tauter, smoother skin surface. Our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Ben Childers of Sheer Beauty Medical Skin Care, offers this procedure at three convenient locations in Redlands, Upland, and Riverside, CA.

"I have been getting the PRP treatment done here for hair regrowth in the last four months and the service and staff here have been phenomenal. Not only did I feel comfortable during the whole PRP process, but I also noticed quick results after the second treatment. Liz was very confident and reassuring during the PRP process in handling any and all of my questions before I made the decision to start the treatment. At my appointments with Liz, she made me feel as if I was her top priority and desired to meet all of my expectations before leaving every appointment. Liz and the staff definitely displayed an extreme amount of patience and customer service either whenever I was there for an appointment or when I called with a question. I would definitely recommend Sheer Beauty Medical Skin Care to anyone, especially those whose hair is thinning as I know they will receive the same amount of care that I did. Thank you so much, Liz and the Sheer Beauty staff, for making me feel welcomed and appreciated. I will continue to use Sheer Beauty to fulfill all my medical skin care needs and refer as much as I can to show my thanks!"- A.G. / Yelp / Mar 20, 2018
Ideal candidates for carboxy therapy are:
- In overall good health
- At a normal, healthy body weight
- Well hydrated, with a mostly healthy diet
- Those with cellulite, stretch marks, and scars
Carboxy therapy is completed with the Carbossi machine, with simple tubing and an attached 30-gauge needle that is inserted into the subcutaneous tissue. Through this fine needle, the carbon dioxide gas will enter the treatment area. Carboxy therapy is especially beneficial following other cosmetic procedures and can be utilized in most areas of the body, including the neck/chin, abdomen, hips, buttocks, and legs. Each treatment takes about 30 minutes and can be done up to twice a week. Patients report very little discomfort during the procedure.
What to Expect@headingTag>
Patients most commonly experience a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles following the procedure. In addition, you will likely see improved skin elasticity and firmness, as well as more even skin tone and texture. The carboxy therapy increases collagen production and decreases fatty deposits. This will improve circulation and the appearance of the skin on and around the treated area. For the best results, Dr. Childers recommends repeat treatments. Patients can receive 6 – 12 treatments per area, spaced out in one-week intervals.
